To Improve Our Service
We use anonymised analytics data to understand how people use our website — which pages are visited most, where visitors come from, and how they navigate the shop. This helps us make the site better. This data is never tied to your personal identity.
For Marketing, With Your Permission
If you opt in to our email list, we may occasionally send you news about new products, seasonal promotions, or studio updates. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We will never send you marketing emails without your explicit consent and we will never sell or share your email address with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Data Retention
How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain your order and account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to meet our legal obligations — for example, tax and accounting records which Mississippi law requires us to keep for a minimum of three years.
Requesting Deletion
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing involvingmemories@aol.com. We will process your request within a reasonable timeframe and confirm when it is done. Note that some data may need to be retained for legal or tax compliance even after account deletion.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of them, email involvingmemories@aol.com and we will respond promptly.
Access and Correction
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you and ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Deletion
You may ask us to delete your personal data. We will do so where we are not required by law to retain it. We will confirm deletion in writing.
Opt Out of Marketing
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email we send, or by emailing us directly. We will process opt-outs within 10 business days. Transactional emails related to your orders will continue regardless of marketing preferences.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss. Our website is served over HTTPS. Payment data never touches our servers. Account passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
Data Breach Notification
In the event of a security breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify you without unreasonable delay in accordance with Miss. Code Ann. § 75-24-29, Mississippi's data breach notification law. We will tell you what happened, what data was affected, and what steps we are taking.
